Recycling Rules! Download Your Fall Tracker Today
It’s a reality that we all take a lot for granted. Truly, we do. We expect things to work: like bank machines, traffic lights and (especially) airports. And we expect our scrap tires to be properly recycled. It wasn’t always the case. In fact 40 years or so ago widespread tire recycling on the scale we know today was virtually non-existent.
Our Tracker cover story for this issue comes courtesy of Tire Stewardship BC (TSBC).
A prime mover and shaker within the industry, TSBC has spearheaded hundreds of projects and collaborations that enable useful and realistic solutions for scrap tires. WCTD deeply values its relationship with TSBC and similar agencies across Canada—and is proud of the role we’ve played in helping Canadians to recycle their tires over the years.
Also in this issue, you’ll find plenty of industry news, including the recently announced OK Tire and Touchette alliance, as well as the latest in new product releases, and a wrap-up of the highly successful Alberta WCTD golf tournament. Not to mention some seriously helpful advice from Federated Insurance on the importance of regular, thorough wheel and rim inspections, plus a glimpse of how the Chinese auto industry is seeding the EV tire market.
Work aside, we hope you’re enjoying a wonderful summer—and recharging for the busy fall season ahead…
